On September 10, 2026, the Intelligent Construction Equipment and Application Working Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Intelligent Construction Branch") of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Association") organized an expert review meeting in Beijing for the group standard titled *Construction Machinery — Classification of Intelligence Levels* (hereinafter referred to as the "Standard").
In his remarks, Wu Peiguo outlined the Association's work on group standards and set out requirements for the current review process. He noted that this standard—the Association's first foundational group standard for the intelligentization of construction machinery—was developed with the participation of 29 entities from across the industry supply chain, reflecting broad and representative industry involvement. He expressed hope that, through collective effort, the expert review would be completed to a high standard, thereby playing a positive role in guiding and regulating the intelligent development and scenario-based application of construction machinery.
The standard drafting group reported on the development process, providing a detailed overview of the text that covered its background and significance, a summary of the work undertaken, the drafting principles, and the key content.
The review experts thoroughly discussed and queried the contents of the draft standard, offering feasible suggestions and recommendations for revision; ultimately, they unanimously agreed to approve the standard. Moving forward, the drafting group will revise and refine the draft based on the experts' feedback, aiming to finalize the version for official approval as soon as possible.
The formulation of this standard defines the classification levels and requirements for the intelligentization of construction machinery; it helps unify the industry's understanding of the concept of intelligentization, provides a goal-oriented framework and a basis for selection regarding the R&D and application of intelligent products, and is of great significance in driving the high-quality development of the industry.
