On June 13–14, the 2026 Construction Machinery Industry Technology Festival (hereinafter referred to as the "Technology Festival") was held in Linping District, Hangzhou. Jointly hosted by the China Construction Machinery Association and the Institute of High-end Equipment at Zhejiang University, the event centered on the theme of "Construction Machinery + Intelligent Manufacturing, Robotics, AI, and New Energy," establishing a high-level platform for collaborative innovation among government, industry, academia, research, and end-user sectors.
China Communications Construction Tianhe showcased equipment models such as the "Chuangshou" high-cold and high-altitude super-large diameter hard rock vertical tunnel boring machine and the "Tianshan" special TBM for Tianshan Shengli Tunnel, highlighting the company's innovative achievements in the field of high-end underground engineering equipment.
During the Science and Technology Festival, Yang Huayong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of the Faculty of Engineering at Zhejiang University, president of the Institute of Advanced Equipment at Zhejiang University, and chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the 2026 Construction Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival; Academician Zheng Jinyang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Su Zimeng, the president of the China Construction Machinery Association and the director of the organizing committee of the 2026 Construction Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival, and other leaders visited the exhibition and exchange area of China Communications Construction Tianhe.
Leaders from China Communications Construction Tianhe were invited to attend the series of activities of the Science and Technology Festival, connecting with industry enterprises and authoritative experts. They conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on hot topics such as the intelligent upgrade of construction machinery, the research and development of green and low-carbon technologies, and the innovative application of new equipment, jointly exploring new paths for industry development and sharing new opportunities for industrial growth.
Among them, Zhang Xin, the vice president of China Communications Construction Tianhe Design Institute, was invited to participate in the special report session and delivered a special report titled "Innovation and Practice of Large-Diameter Shaft Construction Equipment", focusing on the field of large-diameter shaft construction equipment and sharing the technological breakthroughs and engineering practical experience of China Communications Construction Tianhe in this field.
